Methi Thepla


                    I just love Methi Theplas. They are very healthy due to its main ingredient.. Fenugreek leaves. Easy to make. You can also carry in your day trips & have it in between. Here is my recipe of making it.



Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes


Ingredients:
  • Wheat Flour 1 & 1/2 cups
  • Gram Flour/Besan 1/2 cup
  • Rice Flour 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Asafetida
  • Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Green Chili - Ginger Paste 1 tsp
  • Chopped Fenugreek leaves 1 cup
  • Yoghurt 1/2 cup
  • Water for kneading
  • Oil
Method:
  • In a mixing bowl, take wheat flour, gram flour, rice flour, salt to taste, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, asafetida, turmeric powder, green chili-ginger paste, yoghurt & 1 tbsp oil . Mix. Now also add chopped fenugreek leaves. Mix well.
  • Add water little by little to make a soft dough.
  • Grease the dough with some oil.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Now divide the dough into medium sized balls.
  • Dust some wheat flour on the rolling board & roll each dough ball into a flat circular roti using a rolling pin. Use more wheat flour if required (if the dough sticks to the rolling pin or rolling board.
  • Now roast this roti on a hot tawa till golden spots appear on both sides.
  • Apply ghee on both sides.
  • Serve hot with yoghurt which is seasoned with salt to taste & red chili powder !!
