Prawn Pulao

 
 
                Lets see how to cook the quick version of prawns pulao.




Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup small or large prawns
  • 2 cups rice, cooked
  • 2 medium sized onions chopped finely
  • 2 big tomatoes
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp jeera
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • Oil
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
Method:
  • Grind tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, coriander powder, red chili powder & garam masala.
  • Heat oil in a wok.
  • Add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add fennel seeds & cumin seeds to it.
  • Add chopped onions & ginger garlic paste to it. When the onions become translucent, add ground paste to it. Cover & cook it for 5 minutes till the oil is separated.
  • Add prawns to it.
  • Cover & cook again for 2-3 minutes or until you see the prawns have turned circular (this is the best way to know that prawns have cooked).
  • Now add salt to taste. Also add cooked rice to it. Stir the rice softly till all rice is coated well with the gravy.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with some salad & raita !!
