Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup small or large prawns
- 2 cups rice, cooked
- 2 medium sized onions chopped finely
- 2 big tomatoes
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 green chilli
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- salt to taste
- coriander leaves
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
- Oil
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- Grind tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, coriander powder, red chili powder & garam masala.
- Heat oil in a wok.
- Add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add fennel seeds & cumin seeds to it.
- Add chopped onions & ginger garlic paste to it. When the onions become translucent, add ground paste to it. Cover & cook it for 5 minutes till the oil is separated.
- Add prawns to it.
- Cover & cook again for 2-3 minutes or until you see the prawns have turned circular (this is the best way to know that prawns have cooked).
- Now add salt to taste. Also add cooked rice to it. Stir the rice softly till all rice is coated well with the gravy.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with some salad & raita !!
