Golden Banana Chips



          I just love banana chips... But cant find it here where I stay... So tried it !!! & it were so perfect !!! Finished all the chips in one go !!! 😁😁
           Try it soon !!!

 



Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes (for each frying batch 5-10 minutes)


Ingredients:
  • Raw Banana
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Oil for Frying
  • Water

Method:
  • Peel a raw banana with a knife.
  • Take a bowl full of water. Add 1 tsp salt & 1 tsp turmeric powder to it.
  • Immerse the peeled banana in this turmeric water for 5 minutes.
  • Now slice the peeled bananas thinly. Immerse this again in the turmeric water. Leave it in for 10 minutes.
  • Now remove the thinly sliced bananas & place them on a napkin for around 30 minutes. Let them get dry.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Keep the heat on a medium flame. Put each banana slice in the oil one by one. Don’t stir often.
  • Let them get fried for 5 minutes or so on low to medium heat. Once you see the golden color of the chips, remove it from oil & put them on a paper napkin to soak the extra oil. Immediately sprinkle some salt over the fried chips until they are hot.
  • Store them in an airtight container.

Tips:  
  • Don’t over fry the chips. Remove the chips from oil once they turn golden. The color gets enhanced after sometime.
