Corn Bhajji/Pakoda



       Enjoy this mouth watering crispy Corn Pakodas on a rainy evening with your family & friends. Check the recipe below. Its a very simple & quick one.



 
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 - 15 minutes
 
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Sweet corn kernels
  • 2 tbsp Besan if needed
  • 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped 
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/3 inch ginger
  • 1 big clove of garlic or 2 small garlic cloves
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method:
  • Wash the sweet corn.
  • Grind roughly Sweet corn kernels, Ginger, garlic, green chilies & coriander leaves. Don't make a fine paste. There should be some whole corn left.
  • Remove the ground paste in a mixing bowl. Add to it finely chopped onion, corn flour, rice flour, salt, cumin seeds. Mix. It should be a thick batter. If you feel the mixture is bit watery, add some besan. Mix.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai for frying. Put 1 tbsp of hot oil in the corn pakoda mixture. Mix.
  • Put the bhajjis in the oil with the help of your hand or spoon.
  • Fry the bhajjis in it till golden brown.

Done !!! Enjoy it with green chutney or tamarind chutney or ketchup !!!
