Falafels

Falafel is a middle eastern food. Falafel balls are generally served in pita breads along with some salad & sauce. But they can also be eaten alone as a snack. I prefer it anyway. :) :)

Falafels are made using chickpeas. Its outer layer is so crunchy. It is super delicious. Here in Netherlands there are just a couple of vegetarian options. Falafel sandwich is one of the few options. It is my most favorite ever since I came to Netherlands.

It is not at all difficult to make falafels. Its very simple. Below is the recipe.

  • You can make a sandwich using these falafel balls - Put 4 or 5 of them in a pita bread along with some salad & a spicy or mild sauce of your choice. Sauce can be any like garlic sauce or sambal or ketchup or even mayonnaise.
  • Or enjoy the falafel balls just like that !!
